What is your favorite part about living in Colorado?

Family.  My husband and I were both born and raised here in the metro area.  Me in Golden and him in Centennial where we live now.  Most of our family is here and our village is very important and integral to our family life. Oh and the sunshine.

What is your favorite part about being a doula?

The connections I get to make with people. I love meeting new families and helping them on their journey in anyway they need from birth through the postpartum period.

What is your favorite part about being a mother?

Watching these amazing little people become this interesting mixture of their parents and themselves. Oh and the snuggles, lots of snuggles.

How would your kids describe you as a person?

Snuggly, loving, helpful, taskmaster (if they knew that word).

If someone were to ask you for the 3 best tips for a loving marriage, what would you say?

Make your marriage and your partner's happiness your first priority. He or she who cares the most about how the task gets done gets assigned the task. Don't pick a battle you can't win (I use that one in all of life).

What is your favorite food?

Crispy Chile Rellenos with green chile and a margarita on the rocks with salt.

Yoga or Pilates?

Yoga - I do Sumits yoga and it is a combination between vinyasa (power) and hot yoga. My husband calls it Hell's yoga :). There is something about the heat and sweating that makes me a happier person.

Chocolate or Vanilla?

Chocolate w/ salted caramel please.

It is Saturday night at 6:00pm. What are you doing (in an ideal world)?!

1)Dinner with our amazing friends filled with lots of laughter, food, drink, & children running around. Or 2)Settling in to do some nail art and binge watching Nashville.
